วินิจฉัยในสิกขาบทที่ ๘ พึงทราบดังนี้ :-
บทว่า มหาชนิเกน คือ ที่เขาตั้งใจถวายแก่คณะ (แก่ภิกษุณีหมู่มาก).
บทว่า ที่เขาตั้งใจถวายแก่ภิกษุณีหมู่มากนี้แหละทำให้ต่างกันในสิกขาบทนี้.
