๘. กามสูตร ว่าด้วยผู้ต้องการประโยชน์
กิมตฺถกาโม น ทเท กึ มจฺโจ น ปริจฺจเช กึสุ มุญฺเจยฺย กลฺยาณึ ปาปิกญฺจ น โมจเยติ ฯ
เทวดาทูลถามว่า กุลบุตรผู้ใคร่ประโยชน์ไม่ควรให้สิ่งอะไร คนไม่ควรสละ อะไร อะไรหนอที่เป็นส่วนดีงามควรปล่อย แต่ที่เป็นส่วน ลามกไม่ควรปล่อย ฯ
เทวดาทูลถามว่า กุลบุตรผู้ต้องการประโยชน์ ไม่ควรให้อะไรเล่า ไม่ควรสละอะไรเล่า อะไรเล่าที่ดีควรปล่อย แต่ที่ไม่ดีไม่ควรปล่อย พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสตอบว่า บุรุษไม่ควรให้ตน ไม่ควรสละตน วาจาที่ดีควรปล่อย แต่วาจาที่ไม่ดีไม่ควรปล่อยกามสูตรที่ ๘ จบ
