๑๔๐ ติสฺโส อิมา ภิกฺขเว วุฑฺฒิโย กตมา ติสฺโส สทฺธาวุฑฺฒิ สีลวุฑฺฒิ ปญฺญาวุฑฺฒิ อิมา โข ภิกฺขเว ติสฺโส วุฑฺฒิโยติ ฯ
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย วุฑฒิ ๓ อย่างนี้ ๓ อย่างเป็นไฉน คือ สัทธาวุฑฒิ ความเจริญแห่งศรัทธา ๑ สีลวุฑฒิ ความเจริญแห่งศีล ๑ปัญญาวุฑฒิ ความเจริญแห่งปัญญา ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย วุฑฒิ ๓ อย่างนี้แล ฯ
