๘. สัญชยเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระสัญชยเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระสัญชยเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า

ตั้งแต่เราออกบวชเป็นบรรพชิต เราไม่รู้สึกถึงความดำริอันไม่ประ- เสริฐประกอบด้วยโทษเลย.
