๒. สุพาหุเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระสุพาหุเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระสุพาหุเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๑๘๙.๕๒| ๒ วสฺสติ เทโว ยถา สุคีตํ ฉนฺนา เม กุฏิกา สุขา นิวาตา จิตฺตํ สุสมาหิตญฺจ มยฺหํ อถ เจ ปตฺถยสิ ปวสฺส เทวาติ ฯ สุพาหุ เถโร ฯ
ฝนตกลงมา มีเสียงไพเราะดังเสียงเพลงขับ กุฎีของเรามุงดีแล้ว มีประตู หน้าต่างมิดชิดดี จิตของเราก็ตั้งมั่นดีแล้ว ถ้าท่านปรารถนาจะตก ก็เชิญ ตกลงมาเถิดฝน.
ฝนตกลงมา เสียงดังกระหึ่มคล้ายเสียงเพลงอันไพเราะ กุฎีของเราสบาย มุงบังมิดชิดดี จิตเราตั้งมั่นดีแล้ว ถ้าต้องการจะตกก็จงตกลงมาเถิดฝน
