๘. เมณฑสิรเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระเมณฑสิรเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระเมณฑสิรเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๒๑๕.๗๘| ๘ อเนกชาติสํสารํ สนฺธาวิสฺสํ อนิพฺพิสํ ตสฺส เม ทุกฺขชาตสฺส ทุกฺขกฺขนฺโธ ปรทฺธโตติ ฯ เมณฺฑสิโร เถโร ฯ
เมื่อเรายังมิได้ประสบญาณ ได้ท่องเที่ยวไปในสงสารสิ้นชาติมิใช่น้อย เรานั้นเกิดมาแล้วในกองทุกข์ กำจัดกองทุกข์ได้แล้ว.
