พหุมฺเปตํ อสพฺภิ ชาตเวท ยนฺตํ วาลธินาภิปูชยาม มํสารหสฺส นตฺถชฺช มํสํ นงฺคุฏฺฐมฺปิ ภวํ ปฏิคฺคหาตูติ ฯ นงฺคุฏฺฐชาตกํ จตุตฺถํ ฯ ---------
ดูกรไฟผู้ชาติชั่ว หางวัวสำหรับที่ข้าพเจ้าจะบูชาท่านนี้มีมาก วันนี้ เนื้อวัว ไม่มีจะบูชาท่านผู้ไม่สมควรแก่เนื้อวัว ท่านจงรับแต่หางวัวเถิด. จบ นังคุฏฐชาดกที่ ๔.
ไฟอสัตบุรุษ การที่เราบูชาเจ้าด้วยหางนั้นก็มากพอแล้ว วันนี้ เนื้อไม่มีสำหรับเจ้าผู้ชอบเนื้อ ขอท่านผู้เจริญจงรับเอาเพียงหางเถิดนังคุฏฐชาดกที่ ๔ จบ
