อภุตฺวา ภิกฺขสิ ภิกฺขุ น หิ ภุตฺวาน ภิกฺขสิ ภุตฺวาน ภิกฺขุ ภิกฺขสฺสุ มา ตํ กาโล อุปจฺจคา ฯ
ดูกรภิกษุ ท่านยังไม่ทันได้บริโภคกามเลย มาเที่ยวภิกษาเสีย ท่าน จะบริโภคกามเสียก่อนแล้วจึงเที่ยวภิกษาไม่ดีหรือ ดูกรภิกษุ ท่านจง บริโภคกามเสียก่อนแล้วจึงเที่ยวภิกษาเถิด เวลาบริโภคกามอย่าล่วงเลย ท่านไปเสียเลย.
กาลํ โวหํ น ชานามิ ฉนฺโน กาโล น ทิสฺสติ ตสฺมา อภุตฺวา ภิกฺขามิ มา มํ กาโล อุปจฺจคาติ ฯ สมิทฺธิชาตกํ สตฺตมํ ฯ ---------
เรารู้เวลาตายไม่ได้โดยแท้ เวลาตายยังปกปิดอยู่ หาปรากฏไม่ เพราะ เหตุนั้น เราจึงไม่บริโภคกามแล้วเที่ยวภิกษา เวลากระทำสมณธรรมอย่า ล่วงเลยเราไปเสีย. จบ สมิทธิชาดกที่ ๗.
