๗. มาลุตชาดก (๑๗) ว่าด้วยความหนาวเกิดแต่ลม (ฤาษีโพธิสัตว์ถูกเสือและราชสีห์ถาม จึงกล่าวว่า)
กาเฬ วา ยทิ วา ชุเณฺห ยทา วายติ มาลุโต วาตชานิ หิ สีตานิ อุโภตฺถมปราชิตาติ ฯ มาลุตชาตกํ สตฺตมํ ฯ ---------
ข้างขึ้นหรือข้างแรมก็ตาม สมัยใดลมย่อมพัดมา สมัยนั้นย่อมมีความ หนาว เพราะความหนาวเกิดแต่ลม ในปัญหาข้อนี้ ท่านทั้งสองชื่อว่า ไม่แพ้กัน. จบ มาลุตชาดกที่ ๗.
สมัยใดลมพัดมา สมัยนั้นจะเป็นข้างแรมก็ตาม ข้างขึ้นก็ตาม ย่อมมีความหนาวอันเกิดแต่ลม ในปัญหาข้อนี้ เธอทั้ง ๒ จึงไม่มีใครเป็นผู้แพ้ มาลุตชาดกที่ ๗ จบ @เชิงอรรถ : @ อุบาย ๖ ประการ คือ (๑) นอนตะแคงข้างเหยียดเท้าทั้ง ๔ (๒) ใช้กีบเท้าคุ้ยหญ้าและฝุ่น (๓) แลบลิ้น@ออกให้น้อยลง (๔) ทำให้ท้องพองนูน (๕) ถ่ายอุจจาระ ปัสสาวะ (๖) กลั้นลมหายใจเข้าออกไว้@เมื่อนายพรานเห็นเข้าใจว่าตายแล้วจะแก้บ่วงออก เนื้อก็จะรีบหนีไป (ขุ.ชา.อ. ๑/๑๖/๒๔๗)
