ธนุหตฺถกลาเปหิ เนตฺตึสวรธาริภิ สมนฺตา ปริกิณฺณมฺหา กถํ โมกฺโข ภวิสฺสติ ฯ
มนุษย์ทั้งหลายมีมือถือแล่งธนู ถือดาบอันคมแล้ว พากันมาแวดล้อม พวกเราไว้โดยรอบ ด้วยอุบายอย่างไร พวกเราจึงจะรอดพ้นไปได้.
อปฺเปว พหุกิจฺจานํ อตฺโถ ชาเยถ โกจิ นํ อตฺถิ รุกฺขสฺส อจฺฉินฺนํ ขชฺช ตญฺเญว ตินฺทุกนฺติ ฯ ตินฺทุกชาตกํ สตฺตมํ ฯ ---------
ประโยชน์อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง จะพึงเกิดมีแก่มนุษย์ทั้งหลายผู้มีกิจมาก เป็นแน่ ยังมีเวลาพอที่จะเก็บเอาผลไม้มากินได้ ท่านทั้งหลาย จง พากันกินผลมะพลับเถิด. จบ ตินทุกชาดกที่ ๗.
