ธนุคฺคโห อสทิโส ราชปุตฺโต มหพฺพโล ทูเร ปาตี อกฺขณเวธี มหากายปฺปทาลโน ฯ
เจ้าชายพระนามว่าอสทิสกุมาร เป็นนักธนู มีกำลังมาก ยิงธนูให้ไป ตกในที่ไกลๆ ได้ ยิงไม่ค่อยพลาด สามารถทำลายของกองใหญ่ๆ ได้.
สพฺพามิตฺเต รณํ กตฺวา น จ กิญฺจิ วิเหฐยิ ภาตรํ โสตฺถึ กตฺวาน สญฺญมํ อชฺฌุปาคมีติ ฯ อสทิสชาตกํ ปฐมํ ฯ ---------
พระองค์ทรงทำการรบให้ข้าศึกทั้งปวงหนีไป แต่มิได้เบียดเบียนใครๆ เลย ทรงทำพระกนิฏฐภาดาให้มีความสวัสดีแล้ว ก็เข้าถึงความสำรวม. จบ อสทิสชาดกที่ ๑.
