สรีรทพฺยํ วุฑฺฒพฺยํ โสชจฺจํ สาธุสีลิยํ พฺราหฺมณนฺเตว ปุจฺฉาม กินฺนุ เตสํ วนิมฺหเส ฯ
เราขอถามท่านพราหมณ์ว่า ๑. คนมีรูปงาม ๒. คนอายุมาก ๓. คน มีชาติสูง ๔. คนมีศีลดี ๔ คนนั้น ท่านจะเลือกเอาคนไหน?
อตฺโถ อตฺถิ สรีรสฺมึ วุฑฺฒพฺยสฺส นโม กเร อตฺโถ อตฺถิ สุชาตสฺมึ สีลํ อสฺมาก รุจฺจตีติ ฯ สาธุสีลชาตกํ ทสมํ รุหกวคฺโค ปญฺจโม ฯ --------- ตสฺสุทฺทานํ อปิรุหก รูปวตี มุสโล ปวสนฺติ สปญฺจมโปกฺขรณี อถ มุตฺติมวาณิช อุมฺหยเต จิรอาคต โกฏฺฐ สรีร ทส ฯ ---------
