ปุณฺณํ นทึ เยน จ เปยฺยมาหุ ชาตํ ยวํ เยน จ คุยฺหมาหุ ทูรํ คตํ เยน จ อวฺหยนฺติ โส ตฺยาภโต หนฺท จ ภุญฺช พฺราหฺมณ ฯ
ชนทั้งหลายพึงพูดถึงแม่น้ำที่เต็มแล้วว่า กาดื่มกินได้ก็ดี พูดถึงข้าวกล้า ที่เกิดแล้วว่า กาซ่อนอยู่ได้ก็ดี พูดถึงบุคคลที่รักกันไปสู่ที่ไกลว่า จะกลับ มาถึงเพราะกาบอกข่าวก็ดี กานั้น เรานำมาให้ท่านแล้ว ขอเชิญบริโภค เนื้อกานั้นเถิด ท่านพราหมณ์.
ยโต มํ สรตี ราชา วายสมฺปิ ปเหตเว หํสา โกญฺจา มยูรา จ อสติเยว ปาปิยาติ ฯ ปุณฺณนทีชาตกํ จตุตฺถํ ฯ ---------
คราวใด พระราชาทรงระลึกถึงเรา เพื่อจะส่งเนื้อกาให้เรา คราวนั้น เนื้อหงส์ก็ดี เนื้อนกกระเรียนก็ดี เนื้อนกยูงก็ดี เป็นของที่เรานำไปถวาย แล้ว การไม่ระลึกถึงเสียเลย เป็นความเลวทราม. จบ ปุณณนทีชาดกที่ ๔.

เมื่อใด พระราชาทรงระลึกถึงเราเพื่อจะส่งเนื้อกามาให้ เนื้อหงส์ก็ดี เนื้อนกกระเรียนก็ดี เนื้อนกยูงก็ดี ที่เรานำไปถวายแล้ว เมื่อนั้นทำไมจะไม่ระลึกถึงเรา การไม่ระลึกถึงเราเสียเลยจะเป็นความเลวทราม ปุณณนทีชาดกที่ ๔ จบ
