เย กุกฺกุรา ราชกุลสฺมิ วฑฺฒา โกเลยฺยกา วณฺณพลูปปนฺนา เตเม น วชฺฌา มยมสฺม วชฺฌา นายํ สฆจฺจา ทุพฺพลฆาติกายนฺติ ฯ กุกฺกุรชาตกํ ทุติยํ ฯ ---------
สุนัขเหล่าใดอันบุคคลเลี้ยงไว้ในราชสกุล เกิดในราชสกุล สมบูรณ์ด้วย สีสรรและกำลัง สุนัขเหล่านี้นั้นไม่ถูกฆ่า พวกเรากลับถูกฆ่า เมื่อเป็น เช่นนี้ นี้ชื่อว่าการฆ่าโดยไม่แปลกกันก็หาไม่ กลับชื่อว่าฆ่าแต่สุนัข ทั้งหลายที่ทุรพล. จบ กุกกุรชาดกที่ ๒.
พวกลูกสุนัขที่เขาเลี้ยงจนเจริญเติบโตแล้วในราชตระกูล เป็นสัตว์มีตระกูล สมบูรณ์ด้วยสีสันและกำลัง กลับไม่ถูกฆ่า พวกเราซิกลับถูกฆ่า นี้ชื่อว่าการฆ่าที่แปลก ชื่อว่าเป็นการฆ่าผู้ที่มีกำลังอ่อนแอ กุกกุรชาดกที่ ๒ จบ
