อทฺธา ปาทญฺชลี สพฺเพ ปญฺญาย อติโรจติ ตถา หิ โอฏฺฐํ ภญฺชติ อุตฺตรึ นูน ปสฺสติ ฯ
ปาทัญชลีราชกุมาร ย่อมรุ่งเรืองกว่าเราทั้งหมดด้วยพระปรีชาแน่นอน เมื่อเป็นเช่นนั้น ทำไมจึงทรงเม้มพระโอฐอยู่เล่า จะทรงเห็นเหตุอย่าง อื่นยิ่งกว่านี้เป็นแน่.
นายํ ธมฺมํ อธมฺมํ วา อตฺถานตฺถญฺจ พุชฺฌติ อญฺญตฺร โอฏฺฐนิพฺโภคา นายํ ชานาติ กิญฺจนนฺติ ฯ ปาทญฺชลิชาตกํ สตฺตมํ ฯ ---------
ปาทัญชลีราชกุมารพระองค์นี้ จะทรงทราบสิ่งที่เป็นธรรมหรือไม่เป็น ธรรม สิ่งที่เป็นประโยชน์และไม่เป็นประโยชน์ ก็หาไม่ ปาทัญชลี- ราชกุมารพระองค์นี้ นอกจากจะเม้มพระโอฐแล้ว ย่อมไม่ทรงทราบ เหตุการณ์สักนิดหนึ่งเลย. จบ ปาทัญชลิชาดกที่ ๗.
