๓. ปุณณปาติชาดก (๕๓) ว่าด้วยการลวงด้วยสุราเต็มไห (เศรษฐีโพธิสัตว์เมื่อจะทำลายความพอใจของพวกนักเลง จึงกล่าวคาถานี้ว่า)
ตเถว ปุณฺณปาติโย อญฺญายํ วตฺตเต กถา อาการเกน ชานามิ เนวายํ ภทฺทกา สุราติ ฯ ปุณฺณปาติชาตกํ ตติยํ ฯ ---------
ไหสุราทั้งหลาย ยังเต็มอยู่อย่างเดิม ถ้อยคำที่ท่านกล่าวนี้ไม่เป็นจริง เราจึงรู้ได้ด้วยเหตุนี้ว่า สุรานี้เป็นสุราไม่ดีแน่. จบ ปุณณปาติชาดกที่ ๓.
ไหเหล้ายังคงเต็มอยู่เช่นเดิม การกล่าวยกย่องคงเป็นคำไม่จริง เพราะอาการอย่างนี้ เราจึงรู้ว่า เหล้านี้ไม่ดีจริง ปุณณปาติชาดกที่ ๓ จบ
