๗. วานรินทชาดก (๕๗) ว่าด้วยพญาวานรพ้นศัตรู (จระเข้กล่าวถึงบุคคลที่ประกอบด้วยคุณธรรม ๔ ประการ จึงปราบศัตรูได้ว่า)
ยสฺเสเต จตุโร ธมฺมา วานรินฺท ยถา ตว สจฺจํ ธมฺโม ธิติ จาโค ทิฏฺฐํ โส อติวตฺตตีติ ฯ วานรินฺทชาตกํ สตฺตมํ ฯ
ดูกรพระยาวานร ผู้ใดมีธรรม ๔ ประการนี้ คือ สัจจะ ธรรมคือวิจารณ- ปัญญา ธิติคือความเพียร จาคะ เหมือนท่าน ผู้นั้นย่อมล่วงพ้นศัตรูได้. จบ วานรินทชาดกที่ ๗.
พญาวานร ผู้ใดมีธรรม ๔ ประการนี้ คือ (๑) สัจจะ (๒) ธรรมะ (๓) ธิติ (๔) จาคะ เช่นกับท่าน ผู้นั้นย่อมครอบงำศัตรูที่ตนพบเห็นได้ วานรินทชาดกที่ ๗ จบ ๘. ตโยธัมมชาดก (๕๘) ว่าด้วยธรรม ๓ ประการของพญาวานร (รากษสชมเชยพระโพธิสัตว์ว่า)
พญาวานร ผู้ใดมีธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่านี้ คือ (๑) ความขยัน (๒) ความแกล้วกล้า (๓) ปัญญา เช่นกับท่าน ผู้นั้นย่อมครอบงำศัตรูที่ตนพบเห็นได้ ตโยธัมมชาดกที่ ๘ จบ @เชิงอรรถ : @ สัจจะ หมายถึงวจีสัจจะ (พูดจริง) ธรรมะ หมายถึงปัญญาที่ใช้พิจารณาเหตุผล ธิติ หมายถึงความเพียร@ไม่ย่อหย่อน ไม่ขาดตอน จาคะ หมายถึงสละตน (ขุ.ชา.อ. ๒/๕๗/๖๗)
