๕. กิมปักกชาดก (๘๕) ว่าด้วยกามเปรียบเหมือนผลไม้มีพิษชื่อกิมปักกะ (พระศาสดาตรัสเปรียบการบริโภคกามคุณเหมือนการบริโภคผลไม้มีพิษแก่ กุลบุตรผู้บวชถวายชีวิตว่า)
อายตึ โทสํ นาญฺญาย โย กาเม ปฏิเสวติ วิปากนฺเต หนนฺตี นํ กิมฺปกฺกมิว ภกฺขิตนฺติ ฯ กิมฺปกฺกชาตกํ ปญฺจมํ ฯ ---------
ผู้ใดไม่รู้โทษในอนาคต มัวเสพกามอยู่ กามเหล่านั้นจะต้องล้างผลาญ ผู้นั้นในเวลาให้ผล เหมือนผลแห่งต้นกิมปักกพฤกษ์ ทำให้คนผู้ที่บริโภค ตายฉะนั้น. จบ กิมปักกชาดกที่ ๕.
บุคคลใดไม่รู้จักโทษในอนาคตแล้วมัวแต่เสพกามอยู่ ในที่สุด กามทั้งหลายในคราวให้ผลย่อมขจัดบุคคลนั้น เช่นเดียวกับผลไม้มีพิษชื่อกิมปักกะ ขจัดผู้บริโภค กิมปักกชาดกที่ ๕ จบ @เชิงอรรถ : @ กิมปักกะ คือ ผลไม้มีพิษชนิดหนึ่งมีสีกลิ่นและรสน่ารับประทาน (ขุ.ชา.อ. ๒/๘๕/๑๙๗)
