กลฺยาณิเมว มุญฺเจยฺย น หิ มุญฺเจยฺย ปาปิกํ โมกฺโข กลฺยาณิยา สาธุ มุตฺวา ตปฺปติ ปาปิกนฺติ ฯ สารมฺภชาตกํ อฏฺฐมํ ฯ
บุคคลพึงเปล่งวาจางามเท่านั้น ไม่พึงเปล่งวาจาชั่วเลย การเปล่งวาจางาม ยังประโยชน์ให้สำเร็จ ผู้เปล่งวาจาชั่วย่อมเดือดร้อน. จบ สารัมภชาดกที่ ๘.
บุคคลควรพูดคำที่ดีงามเท่านั้น ไม่ควรพูดคำที่ชั่วหยาบเลย การพูดคำที่ดีงามเป็นการดี บุคคลย่อมเดือดร้อนเพราะพูดคำชั่วหยาบสารัมภชาดกที่ ๘ จบ
