๕. มหาสุทัสสนชาดก (๙๕) ว่าด้วยพระเจ้ามหาสุทัศนะ (พระราชาโพธิสัตว์ทรงพระนามว่ามหาสุทัศนะเมื่อจะสอนสุภัททาเทวี จึงตรัส คาถานี้ว่า)
อนิจฺจา วต สงฺขารา อุปฺปาทวยธมฺมิโน อุปฺปชฺชิตฺวา นิรุชฺฌนฺติ เตสํ วูปสโม สุโขติ ฯ มหาสุทสฺสนชาตกํ ปญฺจมํ ฯ ---------
สังขารทั้งหลายไม่เที่ยงหนอ มีความเกิดขึ้น และเสื่อมไปเป็นธรรมดา เกิดขึ้นแล้วย่อมดับไป ความที่สังขารเหล่านั้นสงบระงับเป็นสุข. จบ มหาสุทัสสนชาดกที่ ๕.
สังขารทั้งหลายไม่เที่ยงหนอ มีความเกิดขึ้นและเสื่อมไปเป็นธรรมดา ครั้นเกิดขึ้นแล้วก็ดับไป การเข้าไปสงบระงับสังขารเหล่านั้นเป็นความสุข มหาสุทัสสนชาดกที่ ๕ จบ
