คนโง่เขลาประชุมกัน แม้ตั้งพันคนขึ้นไป พวกเขาไม่มีปัญญาพึงคร่ำ- ครวญอยู่ตลอดร้อยปี ผู้ใดรู้แจ้งเนื้อความแห่งภาษิต ผู้นั้นเป็นบุรุษมี ปัญญา คนเดียวเท่านั้น ประเสริฐ. จบ ปโรสหัสสชาดก.
บรรดาพวกที่มาประชุมกัน ๑,๐๐๐ กว่าคน พวกเขาเป็นคนไม่มีปัญญา พึงคร่ำครวญตลอด ๑๐๐ ปี คนมีปัญญารู้แจ้งเนื้อความที่เรากล่าวแล้ว เพียงคนเดียวเท่านั้นยังประเสริฐกว่าปโรสหัสสชาดกที่ ๙ จบ
