สภาผู้แทนราษฎรและวุฒิสภาแต่ละสภา มีประธานสภาคนหนึ่งและรองประธานสภา คนหนึ่งหรือสองคน ซึ่งพระมหากษัตริย์ทรงแต่งตั้งจากสมาชิกแห่งสภานั้นๆ ตามมติของสภา ในระหว่างการดำรงตำแหน่ง ประธานและรองประธานสภาผู้แทนราษฎรจะเป็นกรรมการบริหาร หรือดำรงตำแหน่งใดในพรรคการเมืองขณะเดียวกันมิได้
