2 sectionsให้สถานรับเลี้ยงเด็ก สถานแรกรับ สถานสงเคราะห์ และสถานคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพเด็กของหน่วยราชการหรือของเอกชนที่ได้รับ อนุญาต ตามประกาศของคณะปฏิวัติ ฉบับที่ ๒๙๔ ลงวันที่ ๒๗ พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๕ ที่ดำเนินกิจการอยู่จนถึงวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ เป็นสถานรับเลี้ยงเด็ก สถานแรกรับ สถานสงเคราะห์ และสถานคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้
บรรดากฎกระทรวง ข้อบังคับ ระเบียบ ประกาศ หรือคำสั่งที่ออกโดยอาศัยอำนาจ ตามความในประกาศของคณะปฏิวัติฉบับที่ ๒๙๔ ลงวันที่ ๒๗ พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๕ และประกาศของคณะปฏิวัติ ฉบับที่ ๑๓๒ ลงวันที่ ๒๒ เมษายน พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๕ ให้คงใช้บังคับต่อไปได้ เท่าที่ไม่ขัดหรือแย้งกับพระราชบัญญัตินี้ จนกว่าจะมีการออกกฎกระทรวง ข้อบังคับ ระเบียบ ประกาศ หรือคำสั่งตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ ผู้รับสนองพระบรมราชโองการ พันตำรวจโท ทักษิณ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี
