ในกรณีที่คำขอต่ออายุ รวมทั้งข้อมูล เอกสาร และหลักฐานถูกต้องและครบถ้วน และผู้ขอต่ออายุชำระค่าใช้จ่ายในกระบวนการพิจารณาอนุญาตยาและค่าธรรมเนียมแล้ว ให้ผู้อนุญาต พิจารณาคำขอให้แล้วเสร็จภายในหนึ่งร้อยยี่สิบวันนับแต่วันที่ผู้ขอต่ออายุได้ชำระค่าใช้จ่ายและค่าธรรมเนียม ดังกล่าว ในกรณีที่ผู้อนุญาตมีคำสั่งไม่อนุญาตให้ต่ออายุใบสำคัญการขึ้นทะเบียนตำรับยา ให้มีหนังสือ แจ้งให้ผู้ขอต่ออายุทราบ พร้อมด้วยเหตุผลและสิทธิอุทธรณ์ภายในเจ็ดวันนับแต่วันที่มีคำสั่งไม่อนุญาต
