ในกรณีที่จำเป็นและมีเหตุอันควรเชื่อได้ว่ามีบุคคลหรือกลุ่มบุคคลใด เสพยาเสพติด ให้ข้าราชการทหารซึ่งได้รับแต่งตั้งมีอำนาจสั่งให้บุคคลหรือกลุ่มบุคคลดังกล่าวรับการตรวจ หรือทดสอบ ว่ามีสารเสพติดอยู่ในร่างกายหรือไม่
