บรรดาคดีของท้องที่จังหวัดตรังซึ่งอยู่ในเขตอำนาจของศาลแขวงตรัง และค้างพิจารณาอยู่ในศาลจังหวัดตรังในวันเปิดทำการศาลแขวงตรังตามมาตรา ๔ ให้คงพิจารณา พิพากษาต่อไปในศาลจังหวัดตรัง บรรดาคดีของท้องที่ตามที่กำหนดไว้ในวรรคหนึ่ง ซึ่งอยู่ระหว่างที่ศาลจังหวัดตรังมีคำสั่ง ให้ผัดฟ้องหรือให้ขังผู้ต้องหาไว้ระหว่างสอบสวน แล้วแต่กรณี ในวันเปิดทำการศาลแขวงตรัง ให้ศาลจังหวัดตรังมีอำนาจพิจารณาเกี่ยวกับการผัดฟ้องหรือขังระหว่างสอบสวนนั้นต่อไป
