ในระหว่างที่ยังมิได้เปิดทำการศาลแขวงเชียงดาวตามมาตรา ๕ ให้ศาลแขวง เชียงใหม่มีเขตอำนาจตลอดถึงท้องที่อำเภอเชียงดาว อำเภอพร้าว อำเภอแม่แตง และอำเภอเวียงแหงด้วย
