ผู้ใดมียศตำรวจหรือว่าที่ยศตำรวจลำดับใดตามที่ระบุไว้ในพระราชบัญญัติ ตำรวจแห่งชาติ พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๗ และที่แก้ไขเพิ่มเติม หรือกฎหมายอื่น อยู่ในวันก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ ใช้บังคับ ให้ถือว่ามียศตำรวจหรือว่าที่ยศตำรวจลำดับนั้นตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้
