ในกองบังคับการหนึ่ง ให้มีผู้บังคับการคนหนึ่งเป็นผู้บังคับบัญชาข้าราชการ ตำรวจและรับผิดชอบในการปฏิบัติราชการของกองบังคับการนั้น และจะให้มีรองผู้บังคับการเป็น ผู้บังคับบัญชาข้าราชการตำรวจและรับผิดชอบในการปฏิบัติราชการรองจากผู้บังคับการตามที่ผู้บังคับการ มอบหมาย ความในวรรคหนึ่งให้ใช้บังคับแก่ส่วนราชการที่เรียกชื่ออย่างอื่นและมีฐานะเทียบเท่า กองบังคับการด้วยโดยอนุโลม รวมทั้งให้หัวหน้าส่วนราชการดังกล่าวมีหน้าที่และอำนาจ และความรับผิดชอบเช่นเดียวกับผู้บังคับการด้วย เลม่ ๑๓๙ ตอนที่ ๖๔ ก หนา้ ๓๒
