เมื่อพระราชบัญญัตินี้มีผลใช้บังคับแล้ว ให้พระราชกฤษฎีกำจัดตั้งสำนักงาน ส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์แห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๖ และพระราชกฤษฎีกำจัดตั้ง สำนักงานส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์แห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) (ฉบับที่ ๒) พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๓เป็นอันยกเลิก และให้บรรดากิจการ เงินและทรัพย์สิน สิทธิ หนี้ รวมทั้งงบประมาณของสำนักงานส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรม ซอฟต์แวร์แห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) ที่มีอยู่ในวันก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ ตกเป็นของ สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล
