ในกรณีที่ผู้ปฏิบัติงานได้รับอนุญาตให้ศึกษาต่อและมีคุณวุฒิเพิ่มขึ้นให้สถาบัน บันทึกข้อมูลบุคคลตามคุณวุฒิที่เพิ่มขึ้น และปรับค่าจ้างให้กับผู้ปฏิบัติงานที่ได้รับคุณวุฒิสูงขึ้น นับตั้งแต่วันที่ผู้ปฏิบัติงานได้ยื่นคำขอปรับคุณวุฒิ เว้นแต่กรณีที่ค่าจ้างที่ผู้ปฏิบัติงานได้รับอยู่ในขณะที่ ขอปรับคุณวุฒินั้นสูงกว่าอัตราค่าจ้างตามคุณวุฒิ สถาบันจะไม่ปรับค่าจ้างก็ได้
