พระราชบัญญัตินี้ให้ใช้บังคับตั้งแต่วันถัดจากวันประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เป็นต้นไป เว้นแต่บทบัญญัติแห่งหมวด ๒ การไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาททางแพ่ง หมวด ๓ การไกล่เกลี่ย ข้อพิพาททางอาญา หมวด ๔ การไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาททางอาญาในชั้นการสอบสวน และหมวด ๕ การไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทภาคประชาชน ให้ใช้บังคับเมื่อพ้นกำหนดหนึ่งร้อยแปดสิบวันนับแต่วันประกาศใน ราชกิจจานุเบกษาเป็นต้นไป
