บุคคลใดประกอบธุรกิจทวงถามหนี้หรือกิจการอื่นในลักษณะทำนองเดียวกัน ตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้อยู่ในวันก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ หากประสงค์จะประกอบธุรกิจทวงถามหนี้ ต่อไป ให้ยื่นคำขอจดทะเบียนตามมาตรา ๕ วรรคหนึ่ง หรือตามมาตรา ๖ วรรคหนึ่ง แล้วแต่กรณี ภายในเก้าสิบวันนับแต่วันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ ในระหว่างการยื่นคำขอจดทะเบียนตามวรรคหนึ่ง ให้บุคคลนั้นประกอบธุรกิจดังกล่าวต่อไปได้ จนกว่าจะได้รับแจ้งการไม่รับจดทะเบียนจากนายทะเบียน
