กึสุ ชเนติ ปุริสํ กึสุ ตสฺส วิธาวติ กึสุ สํสารมาปาทิ กึสุ ตสฺส ปรายนนฺติ ฯ
เทวดาทูลถามว่า อะไรหนอยังคนให้เกิด อะไรหนอของเขาย่อมวิ่งพล่าน อะไรหนอเวียนว่ายไปยังสงสาร อะไรหนอเป็นที่พำนักของ สัตว์นั้น ฯ
เทวดาทูลถามว่า อะไรเล่าทำคนให้เกิด อะไรเล่าของคนนั้นย่อมพล่านไป อะไรเล่าเวียนว่ายในสงสาร อะไรเล่าเป็นที่ไปในเบื้องหน้าของคนนั้น พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสตอบว่า ตัณหาทำคนให้เกิด จิตของคนนั้นย่อมพล่านไป สัตว์เวียนว่ายในสงสาร กรรมเป็นที่ไปในเบื้องหน้าของคนนั้น ตติยชนสูตรที่ ๗ จบ
