จตฺตารีมานิ ภิกฺขเว นาคติคมนานิ กตมานิ จตฺตาริ น ฉนฺทาคตึ คจฺฉติ น โทสาคตึ คจฺฉติ น โมหาคตึ คจฺฉติ น ภยาคตึ คจฺฉติ อิมานิ โข ภิกฺขเว จตฺตาริ นาคติคมนานีติ ฯ ฉนฺทา โทสา ภยา โมหา โย ธมฺมํ นาติวตฺตติ อาปูรติ ตสฺส ยโส สุกฺกปกฺเขว จนฺทิมาติ ฯ
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย การไม่ถึงอคติ ๔ ประการนี้ ๔ ประการ เป็นไฉน บุคคลย่อมไม่ถึงฉันทาคติ ย่อมไม่ถึงโทสาคติ ย่อมไม่ถึงโมหาคติย่อมไม่ถึงภยาคติ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย การไม่ถึงอคติ ๔ ประการนี้แล ฯ ผู้ใดไม่ประพฤติล่วงธรรม เพราะความรัก ความชัง ความหลง ความกลัว ยศของผู้นั้น ย่อมเต็มเปี่ยม ดุจ พระจันทร์ข้างขึ้น ฉะนั้น ฯ จบสูตรที่ ๘
