๑. เอกกนิบาต ๑. ปฐมวรรค หมวดที่ ๑ ๑. สุภูติเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระสุภูติเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระสุภูติเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
/เถร./ |๑๓๘.๑| ๑ ฉนฺนา เม กุฏิกา สุขา นิวาตา วสฺส เทว ยถาสุขํ จิตฺตํ เม สุสมาหิตํ วิมุตฺตํ อาตาปี วิหรามิ วสฺสเทวาติ ฯ อิตฺถํ สุทํ อายสฺมา สุภูติ เถโร คาถํ อภาสิตฺถาติ ฯ
ได้ยินว่า ท่านพระสุภูติเถระได้ภาษิตคาถานี้ไว้อย่างนี้ว่า ดูกรฝน กุฎีของเรามุงดีแล้ว มีเครื่องป้องกันอันสบายมิดชิดดี ท่านจงตกลงมา ตามสะดวกเถิด จิตของเราตั้งมั่นดีแล้ว หลุดพ้นแล้วจากกิเลสทั้งปวง เราเป็นผู้มีความเพียรอยู่ เชิญตกลงมาเถิดฝน.
ฝนเอ๋ย กุฎีของเราสบาย มุงบังมิดชิดดี จงตกตามสบายเถิด จิตเราหลุดพ้น ตั้งมั่นดีแล้ว เราปรารภความเพียรอยู่ จงตกลงมาเถิดฝน
