๗. อุชชยเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระอุชชยเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระอุชชยเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๑๘๔.๔๗| ๗ นโม เต พุทฺธวีรตฺถุ วิปฺปมุตฺโตสิ สพฺพธิ ตุยฺหาปทาเน วิหรํ วิหรามิ อนาสโวติ ฯ อุชฺชโย เถโร ฯ
ข้าแต่พระพุทธเจ้าผู้แกล้วกล้า ข้าพระองค์ขอนอบน้อมแด่พระองค์ พระองค์เป็นผู้หลุดพ้นแล้วจากสิ่งทั้งปวง เมื่อข้าพระองค์อยู่ในพระ บัญชาของพระองค์ จึงเป็นผู้ไม่มีอาสวะ อยู่เป็นสุขสำราญ.
ข้าแต่พระพุทธองค์ผู้ทรงแกล้วกล้า ข้าพระองค์ขอนอบน้อมแด่พระองค์ พระองค์ทรงหลุดพ้นแล้วจากกิเลสทั้งมวล ข้าพระองค์ดำรงอยู่ในพระโอวาทของพระองค์ จึงอยู่อย่างผู้ปราศจากอาสวกิเลส
