๙. (ปฐม)เทวสภเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระ(ปฐม)เทวสภเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระ(ปฐม)เทวสภเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๒๒๖.๘๙| ๙ อุตฺติณฺณา ปงฺกา ปลิปา ปาตาลา ปริวชฺชิตา มุตฺโต โอฆา จ คนฺถา จ สพฺเพ มานา วิสํหตาติ ฯ เทวสโภ เถโร ฯ
กามราคะเพียงดังเปือกต้ม และฉันทราคะเพียงดังหล่ม เราข้ามพ้นแล้ว เราเว้นทิฏฐิราคะเพียงดังบาดาลแล้ว เราพ้นจากโอฆะและกิเลสเครื่อง ร้อยกรอง ทั้งกำจัดมานะหมดสิ้นแล้ว.
เราข้ามพ้นกามราคะดุจเปือกตม และฉันทราคะดุจหล่มมาได้แล้ว เราละทิฏฐิเสมือนบาดาลได้ขาดแล้ว เราพ้นจากโอฆะและกิเลสเครื่องร้อยรัดทั้งหลายได้แล้ว และมานะทั้งมวลเรากำจัดได้แล้ว
