๗. ติสสเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระติสสเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระติสสเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๒๓๔.๙๗| ๗ หิตฺวา สตปลํ กํสํ โสวณฺณํ สตราชิกํ อคฺคหึ มตฺติกาปตฺตํ อิทํ ทุติยาภิเสจนนฺติ ฯ ติสฺโส เถโร ฯ
เราได้สละภาชนะทองคำ มีน้ำหนักประมาณ ๑๐๐ ปละ วิจิตรด้วยลวดลาย ตั้งร้อยชนิด มาถือเอาบาตรดิน นี้เป็นการอภิเษกครั้งที่สองของเรา.
