|๒๓๕.๙๘| ๘ รูปํ ทิสฺวา สติ มุฏฺฐา ปิยนิมิตฺตํ มนสิกโรโต สารตฺตจิตฺโต เวเทติ ตญฺจ อชฺโฌส ติฏฺฐติ ตสฺส วฑฺฒนฺติ อาสวา ภวมูโลปคามิโนติ ฯ อภโย เถโร ฯ
เมื่อบุคคลได้เห็นรูปแล้ว มัวใส่ใจถึงอารมณ์เป็นที่รัก สติก็หลงลืม ผู้ใดมีจิตกำหนัดยินดีเสวยรูปารมณ์ รูปารมณ์ก็ครอบงำผู้นั้น อาสวะ ทั้งหลายย่อมเจริญแก่ผู้นั้น ผู้เข้าถึงซึ่งมูลแห่งภพ.
เมื่อเห็นรูป มัวใส่ใจถึงอารมณ์อันเป็นที่รักอยู่ ย่อมหลงลืมสติได้ ผู้ที่มีจิตกำหนัดนัก ยังเสวยรูปารมณ์อยู่ รูปารมณ์นั้นย่อมผูกพันเขาไว้ และอาสวะทั้งหลายย่อมเจริญแก่เขาผู้เข้าถึงมูลแห่งภพ
