๕. มลิตวัมภเถรคาถา ภาษิตของพระมลิตวัมภเถระ ทราบว่า ท่านพระมลิตวัมภเถระได้กล่าวคาถาไว้ดังนี้ว่า
|๒๔๒.๑๐๕| ๕ อุกฺกณฺฐิโตปิ น วเส รมมาโนปิ ปกฺกเม น เตฺววานตฺถสหิตํ วเส วาสํ วิจกฺขโณติ ฯ มลิตวมฺโภ เถโร ฯ
เราเกิดความกระสันขึ้นในที่ใด เราย่อมไม่อยู่ในที่นั้น แม้เราจะยินดี อย่างนั้น ก็พึงหลีกไปเสีย แต่เราเห็นว่า การอยู่ในที่ใดจะไม่มีความ เสื่อมเสีย เราก็พึงอยู่ในที่นั้น.
เราเกิดกระสันขึ้นในที่ใด จะไม่อยู่ในที่นั้น ถึงจะยินดีอย่างนั้น ก็พึงหลีกไปเสีย ส่วนผู้มีปัญญาไม่พึงอยู่ประจำสถานที่ที่ไม่ประกอบด้วยประโยชน์เลย
