คนโง่เขลามาประชุมกัน แม้ตั้งร้อยคนขึ้นไป พวกเขาไม่มีปัญญา พึงเพ่ง ดูอยู่ตั้งร้อยปี ผู้ใดรู้แจ้งเนื้อความแห่งภาษิต ผู้นั้นเป็นบุรุษมีปัญญา คนเดียวเท่านั้น ประเสริฐกว่า. จบ ปโรสตชาดกที่ ๑.
บรรดาพวกที่มาประชุมกัน ๑๐๐ กว่าคน พวกเขาเป็นคนไม่มีปัญญา ถึงจะเพ่งพินิจอยู่ตลอด ๑๐๐ ปี คนมีปัญญารู้แจ้งเนื้อความที่เรากล่าวแล้ว เพียงคนเดียวเท่านั้นประเสริฐกว่า ปโรสตชาดกที่ ๑ จบ
