๒. ปัณณิกชาดก (๑๐๒) ว่าด้วยอุบาสกชื่อปัณณิกะ (ลูกสาวของอุบาสกชาวกรุงพาราณสีพอถูกบิดาจับมือเพื่อลองใจก็ร่ำไห้ พลางกล่าวว่า)
โย ทุกฺขผุฏฺฐาย ภเวยฺย ตาณํ โส เม ปิตา ทุพฺภิ วเน กโรติ สา กสฺส กนฺทามิ วนสฺส มชฺเฌ โย ตายิตา โส สหสา กโรตีติ ฯ ปณฺณิกชาตกํ ทุติยํ ฯ
ผู้ใดเมื่อดิฉันได้รับทุกข์พึงเป็นที่พึ่งได้ ผู้นั้นคือบิดาของดิฉันกลับมาทำ ความประทุษร้ายแก่ดิฉันในป่า ดิฉันจะคร่ำครวญถึงใครในกลางป่า ผู้ใด ควรจะเป็นที่พึ่งของดิฉัน ผู้นั้นกลับมาทำกรรมอย่างสาหัส. จบ ปัณณิกชาดกที่ ๒.
