ยตฺถ เวรึ นิวึสติ น วเส ตตฺถ ปณฺฑิโต เอกรตฺตํ ทฺวิรตฺตํ วา ทุกฺขํ วสติ เวริสูติ ฯ เวริชาตกํ ตติยํ ฯ ---------
คนมีเวรกันอยู่ในที่ใด บัณฑิตไม่ควรอยู่ในที่นั้น เพราะเมื่ออยู่ในพวก คนมีเวรกันคืนเดียว หรือสองคืน ก็อยู่เป็นทุกข์. จบ เวริชาดกที่ ๓.
บัณฑิตไม่ควรอยู่ในสถานที่ที่คนคู่เวรกันอยู่ เพราะบุคคลเมื่ออยู่ในระหว่างคนเป็นคู่เวรกัน คืนหนึ่งหรือสองคืนก็ตามย่อมอยู่เป็นทุกข์เวริชาดกที่ ๓ จบ
