พหุมฺปิ โส วิกตฺเถยฺย อญฺญํ ชนปทํ คโต อนฺวาคนฺตฺวาน ทูเสยฺย ภุญฺช โภเค กฏาหกาติ ฯ กฏาหกชาตกํ ปญฺจมํ ฯ
ผู้ใดไปสู่ชนบทอื่น ผู้นั้นพึงกล่าวอวดแม้มากมาย ดูกรกฏาหกะ เจ้าของเงินจะติดตามมาประทุษร้ายเอา เชิญท่านบริโภคอาหารเสีย เถิด. จบ กฏาหกชาดกที่ ๕.
บุคคลไปยังชนบทอื่นแล้ว กล่าวข่มขู่โอ้อวดไว้มากมาย เจ้ากฏาหกะ นายของเจ้าจะติดตามมาประทุษร้าย เจ้าจงใช้สอยสมบัติเถิด กฏาหกชาดกที่ ๕ จบ
