น กิรตฺถิ รเสหิ ปาปิโย อาวาเสหิ วา สนฺถเวหิ วา วาตมิคํ คหนนิสฺสิตํ วสมาเนสิ รเสหิ สญฺชโยติ ฯ วาตมิคชาตกํ จตุตฺถํ ฯ ---------
ได้ยินว่า สิ่งอื่นที่จะเลวยิ่งไปกว่ารสทั้งหลายไม่มี รสเป็น สภาพเลวแม้กว่าถิ่นฐาน แม้กว่าความสนิทสนม นายสญชัย อุยยาบาล นำเนื้อสมันซึ่งอาศัยอยู่ในป่าชัฏมาสู่อำนาจของตนได้ด้วยรส ทั้งหลาย. จบ วาตมิคชาดกที่ ๔.
ได้ยินว่า สภาวะอย่างอื่นที่จะเลวยิ่งกว่ารสทั้งหลายไม่มี รสเป็นสภาวะที่เลวกว่าที่อยู่อาศัย กว่าความสนิทสนม คนเฝ้าสวนชื่อสัญชัยนำเนื้อสมันที่อาศัยอยู่ในป่าทึบ มาสู่อำนาจได้ก็เพราะรส วาตมิคชาดกที่ ๔ จบ
