ทูสิโต คิริทตฺเตน หโย สามสฺส ปณฺฑโว โปราณํ ปกตึ หิตฺวา ตสฺเสวานุวิธิยฺยติ ฯ
(พระโพธิสัตว์กราบทูลพระราชาว่า) ม้าชื่อปัณฑวะของพระเจ้าสามะ ถูกนายควาญม้าชื่อคิริทัตต์ประทุษร้าย จึงละปกติเดิมของตน ศึกษา เอาอย่างนายควาญม้านั่นเอง.
สเจ จ ตนุโช โปโส สิงฺคาราการกปฺปิโต อานเน ตํ คเหตฺวาน มณฺฑเล ปริวตฺตเย ขิปฺปเมว ปหนฺตฺวาน ตสฺเสวานุวิธิยฺยตีติ ฯ คิริทตฺตชาตกํ จตุตฺถํ ฯ ---------
ถ้าบุรุษผู้บริบูรณ์ด้วยอาการอันงดงาม สมควรแก่ม้านั้น ตบแต่งร่าง กายงดงาม จับจูงม้านั้นที่บังเหียนพาเวียนไปรอบๆ สนามม้าไซร้ ไม่ช้า เท่าไร ม้านี้ก็จะละความเป็นกระจอกเสีย ศึกษาเอาอย่างบุรุษนั้นเทียว. จบ คิริทัตตชาดกที่ ๔.
