เสยฺยํโส เสยฺยโส โหติ โย เสยฺยมุปเสวติ เอเกน สนฺธึ กตฺวาน สตํ วชฺเฌ อโมจยึ ฯ
ผู้ใด คบหากับบุคคลผู้ประเสริฐ ผู้นั้นชื่อว่า เป็นผู้มีส่วนอันประเสริฐ ด้วย เราสมานไมตรีกับพระยาโจรคนเดียวก็ปลดเปลื้องท่านทั้งหลาย ผู้ต้องโทษได้ทั้งร้อยคน.
ตสฺมา สพฺเพน โลเกน สนฺธึ กตฺวาน เอกโก เปจฺจ สคฺคํ นิคจฺเฉยฺย อิทํ สุณาถ กาสิยา ฯ
เพราะฉะนั้น บุคคลคนเดียวสมานไมตรีกับโลกทั้งมวลสิ้นชีพแล้ว ก็ พึงเข้าถึงสวรรค์ ท่านชาวกาสิกรัฐทั้งหลาย จงฟังคำของเรานี้เถิด.
อิทํ วตฺวา มหาราชา กํโส พาราณสิคฺคโห ธนุํ ตุณฺฑิญฺจ นิกฺขิปฺป สญฺญมํ อชฺฌุปาคมีติ ฯ เสยฺยชาตกํ ทุติยํ ฯ
พระเจ้ากังสมหาราช ครอบครองราชสมบัติเมืองพาราณสี ได้ตรัสพระ ราชดำรัสนี้แล้ว ก็ทรงสละทั้งธนู และลูกศรเสีย ทรงสมาทาน สำรวม ศีล. จบ เสยยชาดกที่ ๒.
