สมฺโมทมานา คจฺฉนฺติ ชาลมาทาย ปกฺขิโน ยทา เต วิวทิสฺสนฺติ ตทา เอหินฺติ เม วสนฺติ ฯ สมฺโมทมานชาตกํ ตติยํ ฯ
นกทั้งหลายพร้อมเพรียงกันพากันเอาข่ายไป เมื่อใด พวกมันทะเลาะกัน เมื่อนั้น พวกมันจักตกอยู่ในอำนาจของเรา. จบ สัมโมทมานชาดกที่ ๓.
นกกระจาบทั้งหลายร่าเริงบันเทิงใจ ช่วยกันบินพาเอาข่ายไปได้ เมื่อใดพวกมันทะเลาะกัน เมื่อนั้นพวกมันจักมาสู่เงื้อมมือของเราสัมโมทมานชาดกที่ ๓ จบ
