ผู้ใดบุคคลกล่าวสอนอยู่ ไม่ทำตามคำสอนของผู้ปรารถนาประโยชน์ ผู้อนุเคราะห์ด้วยประโยชน์เกื้อกูล ผู้นั้นย่อมเศร้าโศก เหมือนนาย มิตกะจับเท้าแพะเศร้าโศกอยู่ ฉะนั้น. จบ โลสกชาดกที่ ๑.
ผู้ใดที่คนอื่นผู้มีจิตเกื้อกูล อ่อนโยน กล่าวสอนอยู่ ไม่กระทำตามคำสอนของบุคคลผู้หวังความเจริญ ผู้อนุเคราะห์ด้วยเหตุอันเป็นประโยชน์ ผู้นั้นย่อมเศร้าโศก เหมือนมิตตวินทุกะจับขาแพะแล้วเศร้าโศกอยู่โลสกชาดกที่ ๑ จบ
